FAQ

Do you offer online or face-to-face therapy?

I offer in person and online counselling. Some clients work only online, some only in person and some people mainly work face to face with the odd online session if they’re away.

Where are you based?

I work from Marholm, just outside Peterborough UK. However, I work online with clients who do not live locally to me.

How much does counselling cost?

Fees are £65 per session. I offer a small number of concessions, just mention it when you get in touch.

How do I pay, and what's your cancellation policy?

You can pay before the session by BACS or cash at the start of the session. I ask for 48 hours notice of cancellation or the session fee will be charged.

How many sessions will I need?

This is a tricky one as it will depend on your history, current circumstances and what your goals are. We can discuss this in the first session.

I don’t identify as a woman, can we still work together?

Yes. Relational trauma in women is a specialism, but I work with all genders. If my website resonates with you and you’d like to work with me, regardless of gender, please get in touch and we can see if we’re a good fit.

How do I get started?

Get in touch with me and we can organise an initial call to see if we’re a good fit. You don’t need to know exactly what to say: a few lines about what’s brought you here is enough.

How long are sessions and how often would we meet?

Sessions are 50 minutes and I usually offer weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

When are sessions available?

I have availability Tuesday-Thursday daytime. This does vary so please get in touch to find out up to date availability.

How do I pay, and what's your cancellation policy?

You can pay before the session by BACS or cash at the start of the session. I ask for 48 hours notice of cancellation or the session fee will be charged.

Do I need to know what’s wrong to start counselling?

Absolutely not. It can be really hard to understand what is going on, but we can work it out together.

I don’t know if I’ve experienced trauma, can I still work with you?

Yes. Not everyone identifies with the word trauma, nor do we need to label everything. I specialise in relational trauma but I work with a variety of issues.

What are your qualifications?

My main training was with Matrix College in Norwich and was a BSc in Integrative Counselling, validated by Middlesex University.

I also complete regular CPD and am an accredited member of the BACP (register no 398612). You can find me on the register here.
